TUDUM: New Teaser Trailer Released for ‘Money Heist’ Spinoff ‘Berlin’

It’s time for another heist. According to Deadline, Netflix recently released the teaser trailer for their new Spanish drama, Berlin, spinoff of the popular Spanish show Money Heist, also known as La Casa de Papel. The show is set to premiere in December of 2023. Watch the teaser for Berlin below. 

According to Deadline, the new spinoff will follow Andrés de Fonollosa, played by Pedro Alonso (Hospital Real, La embajada), a character first introduced in Money Heist as Berlin. During the original show, he was the second-in-command of the Royal Mint of Spain heist and was also in charge of planning the heist of the Bank of Spain in collaboration with The Professor and Palermo. In the new show, Berlin will be in attempting his latest heist to steal from one of the top auction houses in Paris. 

Besides Alonso, Berlin also stars Najwa Nimri (Vis a Vis, Holy Family) reprising her role as Alicia Sierra; Begoña Vargas (High Seas, Welcome to Eden) as Cameron; Julio Peña (Bia, Through My Window) as Roi; Itziar Ituño (Intimacy, Irati) reprising her role as Raquel Murillo; Michelle Jenner (Isabel, Los hombres de Paco) as Keila; Tristán Ulloa (Warrior Nun, The Snow Girl) as Damián; Julien Paschal (Antidisturbios) as Polignac; and newcomer Joel Sánchez as Bruce. 

La Casa de Papel tells the story of a series of heists through the point of view of Tokyo, played by Úrsula Corberó (Snake Eyes, 14 de abril La República), one of the robbers involved. The show also stars Álvaro Morte (The Wheel of Time, El embarcadero) as The Professor; Ituño as Raquel; Miguel Herrán (Elite, Prison 77) as Río; Jaime Lorente (Elite, El Cid) as Denver; Esther Acebo (Operación Marea Negra, The Chalk Line) as Mónica Gaztambide; Enrique Arce (Murder Mystery 2, Sayen) as Arturo Román; Rodrigo de la Serna (The Motorcycle Diaries, Sueños de Independencia) as Palermo; Darko Peric (La prima regola, Or noir) as Helsinki; Nmri as Alicia; Hovik Keuchkerian (The Head, Rainbow) as Bogotá;  Luka Peros (Papillon, While at War) as Marsella; Belén Cuesta (Cristo y Rey, El Cuco) as Manila; Fernando Cayo (Sky High, La Fortaleza) as Coronel Tamayo; Fernando Soto (Serve and Protect, Travesuras de la Niña Mala) as Ángel; Jose Manuel Poga (La Fortaleza, Tú también lo harías) as Gandía; and Mario de la Rosa (Hellboy, El cuartito) as Suárez. 

Berlin is set to premiere in December on Netflix. All seasons of Money Heist are available to stream on Netflix.
