TruTV has ordered eight additional episodes of its extreme singing competition, Deadline reports.
The addition brings the series Killer Karaoke to sixteen episodes in its first season. Production is scheduled to begin next month and the premiere date is set for early 2014.
Along with the new episodes comes new host Mark McGrath. The series is inspired by the British game show Sing If You Can, which challenges contestants to sin a hit song while being put through extreme, wild and unexpected physical challenges.
Killer Karaoke is produced by Zodiak USA, with Tony Yates and James Rowley serving as executive producers.
