Tim Gunn will be at the fan event, Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim. His presence is in support of Sofia the First, where Gunn’s voice is featured as royal steward Baileywick.
The Project Runway fashion mentor will greet fans alongside Princess Sofia on Sunday, August 11 at what Disney describes as its “ultimate fan event,” the Hollywood Reporter explains.
In addition, Gunn will do a reading of Disney Publishing’s soon-to-be-released illustrated storybook Sofia the First: The Floating Palace, based on the upcoming Disney Junior fall primetime TV special of the same name. In the special, fellow Disney princess Ariel The Little Mermaid visits Princess Sofia.
Sofia the First centers on a little girl who becomes a princess after her mom married the king and quickly discovers that looking like a princess isn’t as difficult as possessing the characteristics of a true princess- honesty, loyalty, courage, independence, compassion and grace. Modern Family’s Ariel Winter voices the young princess with Sara Ramirez voicing her mom. Wayne Brady voices a wise-talking rabbit named Clover in the animation.
Disney says the series is cable TV’s top-rated show among kids 2-5 since its debut in November.
