‘The Walking Dead’ Spin-Off ‘Daryl Dixon’ First Look at Set Photos and Characters

According to Screenrant, ‘The Walking Dead’ has released set photos and list of characters old and new for the new spin-off series ‘Daryl Dixon’ following the main character, played by Norman Reedus (The BoonDock Saints, Blade II, Ride with Norman Reedus), continuing to survive through the zombie apocalypse. The finale The Walking Dead series left Daryl riding off into the sunset on his trademark motorcycle, but now he’s back with new adventures and new characters. The title of the series was revealed in October 2022 and is scheduled to premiere in 2023, and will consist of six episodes. The appearance of Poésy in the photos seen here ( hyper link the tweet to seen here)

The setting of the new series is set to take place in Paris, France, which raises some technical questions like how did the character Daryl manage to travel across an ocean with all advanced transportation like planes, ships, and trains out of commission. Besides the occasional helicopter that Rick, Played by Andrew Lincoln (Love Actually, Guillermo Del Toro’s: Cabinet of Curiosities, Penguin Bloom), uses there is no practical way to travel across the world after ninety five percent of humanity are zombified. Hopefully creators have a reasonable explanation for large scale travel in a world without commercial flights or boat rides.

Reedus’ co-star Clémence Poésy (Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire, Tenet, Gossip Girl) will play the character Isabelle described as “a member of progressive religious group who joins forces with Daryl on a journey across France and finds herself confronting her dark past in Paris.” Secondary character Quinn will be played by Adam Nagaitis (Chernobyl, The Man with The Iron Heart, The Inbetweeners 2), and is described as “a displaced Brit who has become powerful in post-apocalyptic Paris as a black marketeer and the owner of the Demimonde, a sexy underground nightclub.” Read more on Deadline

The appearance of Poésy in the above photos have led fans to speculate her role in Daryl Dixon. One theory suggests that she is Daryl’s new love interest. Unfortunately, Daryl’s previous female companion, an old platonic best friend Carol Peletier, played by Melissa McBride (Matlock, Pirates of Silicon Valley, Any Place but Home), elected to drop out of the new series. It’s possible that Poésy will take on a Carol-like role in Daryl Dixon, maybe the creators have something more romantic in mind for the new duo.
