Prime Video has announced the first teaser for the upcoming second season of The Rings of Power will arrive tomorrow, May 14, according to Comicbook. The series serves as a prequel to The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. The first season ended with Galadriel, played by Morfydd Clark (Crawl), finding out that Charlie Vicker’s (Palm Beach) true identity is Sauron, the forger of the three rings and the creator of Mordor. Amazon Studios announced the news on social media.

According to Comicbook, the teaser reveals of the upcoming season has been released on the official Lord of the Rings page on X. The teaser reveals a new intro card, and the master ring can be seen for a brief second and then blends into the screen. We are surely to see the return of Morfydd and Charlie reprising their roles. It can also be expected that other members will make their returns, such as Robert Aramayo (Behind Her Eyes) as young Elrond, Owain Arthur (The Palace) as Durin IV, as well as many others.
The second season will further expand on the second age of Middle-Earth which will consist of the forging of the mastering ring and the rise of Sauron. According to Comicbook, with the addition of the new season, a new The Lord of the Rings film has been announced by Warner Bros., and will be directed by Andy Serkis (Venom: Let There Be Carnage).The film will be titled The Hunt for Gollum.
While details about the plot of season two are still under wraps, the teaser trailer is sure to offer some tantalizing hints about what’s to come. The second season will make its debut on Prime Video on August 29th. While waiting on further information, the first season of The Rings of Power is available to stream on Prime Video.
