With Halloween right around the corner, the first teaser trailer for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season four has arrived just in time. Spooky season is in full force and the show filled with witches, demons, and spells is coming back for one last hurrah. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s final season will arrive December 31 on Netflix, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.
Netflix cancelled Chilling Adventures of Sabrina earlier this year in July, announcing that the already shot fourth season would be its last. For fans of the show it was a shock, but it’s not unprecedented news this year. Netflix has cancelled several of its teen drama series amidst the pandemic, including The Society and I Am Not Okay with This. Though all three shows were well received with solid fanbases, they were let go of by the mega streaming service.
Though it’s curtains for the haunted town of Greendale, the series about teen witches and forbidden romance is steamrolling ahead with its first teaser for part four. Released on Monday, the sneak peek announced that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s last chapter would premiere on December 31, helping ring in the new year. After having left off on a dramatic cliffhanger, fans only have to wait a little bit longer.
The first trailer for the upcoming season is jam packed with action. Slightly over a minute long, images from part four fly by showcasing new obstacles and dangerous spells that the several characters of Greendale must face. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was originally conceived as a darker, spookier version of the hit 90s Television sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch starring Melissa Joan Hart (Melissa & Joey).
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina stars Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men) as the titular role, along with Ross Lynch (My Friend Dahmer), Gavin Leatherwood (Grown-ish), Miranda Otto (The Lord of the Rings), Lucy Davis (Sean of the Dead), and Jaz Sinclair (Paper Towns). It’s created, written, and executive produced by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale).
