‘The Expanse’ Releases Season 5 Trailer and Premiere Date

The Expanse released their season five trailer at the series’ panel at New York Comic Con’s Metaverse, according to Deadline. The show will be dropping a new episode each Wednesday, with the season finale airing on February 3rd.

Season five will be on Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday, December 16th. The trailer is below.

Season five begins with a bunch of humans leaving the solar system to search for new homes and fortunes on earth-like worlds past the alien Ring. Amos (Wes Chatham, The Hunger Games) goes back to Earth and confronts his past. Naomi (Dominique Tipper, Vampire Academy) tries to get into contact with her estranged son in an attempt to save him from his toxic father. Alex (Cas Anvar, Room) and Bobbie (Frankie Adams, Shortland Street) deal with the fall of Mars and attempt to track down terrorists and criminals. Holden (Steven Strait, Magic City) wrestles with his connection to the Protomolecule and the questions surrounding it. Drummer (Cara Gee, Empire of Dirt) tries to shed her past and Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo, House of Saddam) attempts to prevent an unprecedented terrorist attack.

The new season of The Expanse will have 10-episodes and is exclusively available on Amazon Prime Video. The show is produced by Alcon Television Group.
