The End is Near: Trailer Released for Final Season of ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’

Ending with a bang and not a whimper, the trailer for the fourth and final season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is filled with explosive terror. Arriving on Netflix December 31, Sabrina goes against all that is evil one last time with the help from her friends, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

The town of Greendale’s worst nightmare has arrived in the form of the Eldritch Terrors, signifying the end of times. Sabrina Spellman, portrayed by Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men), suits up for battle once more as the Apocalypse flirts with the town’s many inhabitants. When the Eldritch Terrors’s powers are unleashed, it ensures the end of the world is near.

Father Blackwood, the antagonist of the series who’s portrayed by Richard Coyle (The Fall), spent season three obsessing over The Eldritch Terrors and now they’re finally unleashed. They come in many forms according to Entertainment Weekly, including The Weird, The Returned, The Darkness, and worst of all, The Void.

Sabrina enlists the help from her longtime partners in crime, including  Ross, Harvey, and Theo in order to stop the end of the world. Also trying to win back Sabrina’s affection is Nick, who has made the jump from warlock to regular high school teen. Portrayed by Gavin Leatherwood (My Dead Ex), in the trailer he’s seen sporting a varsity jacket and attending Baxter High School as he tries to get Sabrina back, telling her “We’re endgame.”

Also seen parading about in the trailer are Sabrina’s beloved Aunties, Hilda and Zelda Spellman. Ambrose, Prudence, and the rest of the weird sisters are also there entangled in the battle for humanity.

It was announced earlier this year that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was cancelled, making this fourth installment its last. There was an outcry from fans and petitions were signed to keep the show going to no avail. The fourth season is shorter than usual, with it containing eight episodes in its final go around.
