According to TVLine, an all-new sneak peek has been revealed for Netflix’s The Brothers Sun. The all-new series is set for release on Thursday, January 4th. It was created by Brad Falchuk (Glee, Pose) and Byron Wu (The Getaway). View the clip below.
The sneak peek released to TVLine shows the character Bruce having just learned of the dangerous family business, the information being revealed to him by his mother, Eileen. As he realizes that his entire family has lied to him, he must make the choice as to whether or not he will stand by his family in this feud or if he will ignore it. Along with this, he must study for a test as he is still in school.
According to TVLine, the series stars Sam Song Li (Better Call Saul, Home Economics) as Bruce, a naive Los Angeles student who realizes his brother Charles, played by Justin Chien (Continuum, Fine China), and mother Eileen, played by Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All At Once, Gunpowder Milkshake), have hidden the family’s participation in Taipei’s murderous crime syndicate from him his entire life. When an assassin kills the leader of their criminal triad, the family must run for their lives as Bruce learns the true meaning of brotherhood and family.
TVLine claims that Falchuk, the show’s co-creator, also makes himself known as the showrunner of the series as well as executive producer with Wu, Mikkel Bondesen (Burn Notice, The Good Guys), and Kevin Tancharoen (Fame, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D.). The cast is an all-Asian ensemble featuring Jon Xue Zhang (Eternals) as Blood Boots, Alice Hewkin (Sex Education) as May/June, Highdee Kuan (Fear The Night) as Aleixs, Joon Lee (The Escape of The Seven) TK, Jenny Yang (48 At The Garden) as Xing, Rodney To (Easter Sunday) as Mark and Madison Hu (Bizzardvark) as Grace.
