‘Supernatural’ Picks Up Production in Vancouver

Warner Bros TV initiated Supernatural production today in Vancouver according to Deadline. The production for the series was shut down in mid-March due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

In March, the Supernatural series was planning to hold back on seven episodes, including two that were planned to be shot in Vancouver. The decision was made after the target of finalizing all episodes to air in fall 2020. However, the CW network is premiering the series final batch of episodes on October 8 to lead into the season finale.

The film production will continue throughout this month despite Supernatural star Jared Padalecki’s (House of Wax) arrest over the weekend and two counts of misdemeanor assault charges after an altercation in an Austin bar according to Deadline.

Padalecki will segue into his new CW series, Walker after filming is completed for Supernatural via Deadline.  The star shared his final thoughts on the Supernatural season finale and his dedication of the series via Twitter in early January:

The series Walker is a reboot of the 1993 Walker, Texas Ranger series. The series is scheduled to premiere in January 2021 according to Deadline.
