‘Stranger Things’ Writers Tease Season Five Script

Some news from the Upside Down has been brought into our world. The Stranger Things Twitter account has been the main source of teasers and fan theories throughout the entirety of the series mainstream popularity and as the writers have gotten back to their scripts, fans are eager to hear any sort of news they can get. On Stranger Things Day, November 6th, the official Stranger Things writer’s Twitter account revealed to followers and fans alike, the first line of the nearest season.

The line that has been revealed as to what will begin the fifth and final season of Stranger Things reads: “DARKNESS. The sound of COLD WIND. GROANING TREES. And… A CHILD’S VOICE. Singing a familiar song:” It may be a small little sliver of what is to come, but the sheer visual of seeing the new script shaping up and ready to be filmed is creating a lot of excitement.

Now, audiences are no strangers to the fact that music plays quite a large role in the Stranger Things universe. For instance, the Kate Bush song “Running Up That Hill” was a smash hit when used in the previous season and could come back into play, or maybe we will be hearing the Clash’s “Should I Stay Or Should I Go” that was used in the first season. Maybe Suzie and Dustin will join in another duet over the phone á la “Never Ending Story” style from season three? Whether the song being hummed is a familiar tune that has been a main part of the series or a brand new melody, it is huge to see that the writers are staying true to the importance of music within their series.

The production of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things has been on pause due to the WGA strikes. After the conclusion of said strike, the writers immediately returned to their writers’ rooms to begin their script creation so that once the SAG-AFTRA strikes finally reached their conclusion, filming could begin as quickly as possible. But for now, fans are going to have to rely on the Stranger Things writer’s Twitter account to get any snippets or teasers regarding the progress of the series’ final season.

Stranger Things seasons one through four are available to stream on Netflix.
