Season 3 of Stranger Things got record numbers of viewers for Netflix. With almost 41 million viewers in the first four days, it was expected that the streaming service would probably want to keep producing more episodes. At the end of Season three Joyce, Will and Jonathan moved out of their home in Hawkins and went into moving van with Eleven. The hit Netflix series, Stranger Things is reported to start filming Season 4 in January 2020 and finish in August 2020. Here is the Season 4 announcement Trailer:
There is a possibility that this fourth season may be the show’s last. “We’re thinking it will be a four-season thing and then out,” director Ross Duffer told Vulture. But in Entertainment Weekly, Executive producer Shawn Levy said there may be a fifth season. “The truth is we’re definitely going four seasons and there’s very much the possibility of a fifth. Beyond that, it becomes I think very unlikely.”
We don’t know where they’re headed, but in the Season 4 trailer there was a message that “we’re not in Hawkins anymore,” so this new season may take place in a different town or state. Also at the end of Season 3, Eleven had lost her powers, so that may be a plot point in the new season.
Spoilers: At the end of Season 3, David Harbour’s character, Hopper, supposedly died, but there is a chance that he may come back. There is also a post credits scene at the end of Season 3 where some Russians are talking about “The American,” which may be referring to Hopper.
