Star Wars: The Mandalorian Star Doesn’t Know Where Crossovers Lead

Since the release of Disney+, the Star Wars brand has been releasing new content on an annual basis. Starting with the success of The MandalorianStar Wars: Ahsoka, and Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett, the live-action expanded universe has been ever evolving. However, according to ComicBook, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Train 48, Kim’s Convenience) revealed to Tattooine Times that he doesn’t know where all the crossover shows will lead to.

“I still have no idea where this is all leading, I’m just gratified and so happy that Jon and Dave want to keep me on board and play this character who is becoming more and more important in [the Star Wars universe].”

The recent expansion in the Star Wars universe has been from the minds of filmmaker Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Avatar: The Last Airbender) and Jon Favreau (Elf, Iron Man). According to ComicBook, at the moment, there’s no confirmation about either Ahsoka or Book of Boba Fett getting a season two, although Mandalorian is reportedly earning a season four. It is reported that Filoni is set to develop a Star Wars movie that will reportedly unite the events of The MandalorianStar Wars: Ahsoka, and Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett. How or when Filoni’s massive crossover will tie everything together is unknown.

Sun-Hyung Lee appeared as Carson Teva in season two of The Mandalorian and season one of Ahsoka. The character helped create the idea of the Rangers of the New Republic, a new force that wants to maintain peace in the galaxy in the wake of the collapse of the Galactic Empire. After appearing in  The Mandalorian, Teva would go on to appear in Book of Boba Fett.

According to ComicBook, there were previous plans to develop a spinoff Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic, those plans have seemingly been scrapped. Though fans are split on whether the new shows will lead to the sequel trilogy or create their own timeline, only time will tell.
