As the final chapters of the Upside Down saga with Netflix’s popular series, Stranger Things is on the horizon, many fans have theorized that someone is going to die. Stated by Screenrant, the characters that the fans were quickly though were going to die in the latest episode were Ted Wheeler, played by Joe Crest (Deepwater Horizon, Lisa Frankenstein) and Karen Wheeler, played by Cara Buono (Hulk, Gladiator), but was quickly debunked by the series creator.
They go on in an interview with Screenrant to state about what transpires in the first volume,” 0nce we decided we knew we wanted to do the Will power stuff this season, we knew that that’s how we had to end Volume 1. So there’s the low point of all the kids being taken, but the high point of Will has these powers. That was always the discussion. Vecna taking these children was the low point we needed for the end of Volume 1.”
Reported by mxdwn, this news comes just one day after the series got the lowest critic score out of the series with a 85%, but still abale to keep a 90% in the audience score. This score does not affect the overall plot of the series, and there’s still more perilous adventure that awaits viewers and that could affect the score. The show and the creators understand the emotional weight in the first volume, and agreed that is is better to maximized the character’s potential and teamwork, rather than to get extinguish it.
Stated by Screenrant, the duffer brother are preparing to delivering a devastating blow at the end, to make the character’s demise feel more earned and have a major impact to the survivors. All current episode the first volume of the final season of Stranger Things are available to stream on Netflix, with the second volume schedule for December 25 and the final part for December 31.
