

In a Deadline exclusive, it has been detailed that Trey Parker (Orgazmo, That’s My Bush!) and Matt Stone (South Park, Team America: World Police), the co-creators of South Park’ will be joining two other superstar creators in Beavis and Buttheads Mike Judge (King of the Hill, Office Space), and Digman!’s Andy Samberg (Saturday Night Live, Brooklyn 99) for an adult animation panel at the San Diego Comic Con. This is big news as the South Park duo hasn’t been to the convention in over a decade.
Deadline included a description of the event as follows: “The home for adult animation, Comedy Central, celebrates their upcoming slate with the creators and cast of the hit series South Park, Beavis And Butt-Head, and Digman!. Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Mike Judge, and Andy Samberg return to SDCC to share behind-the-scenes stories from over 30 years in animation.”
According to Deadline, the event will offer an unforgettable experience for fans who attend. They will be given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step inside the town of ‘South Park’ and experience it for themselves. This will include interactive photo moments, giveaways, exclusive merch, cosplay contests, trivia, karaoke, and more. The event, dubbed a free South Park fan activation, will take place at the Quartyard on 1301 Market St., July 25th and 26th in San Diego. It’s open to everyone and does not require a badge. Fans are encouraged to RSVP beginning Monday, the 14th, at 10 AM PT.
Mxdwn has previously reported that due to the ongoing ‘streaming wars’, as South Park would call it, all episodes of the series have been removed from Paramount+ amid the ongoing Paramount-Skydance merger. Paramount+ released a statement to its subscribers informing them that the license they had for the show had come to an end. Although fans should be happy to know that all of the movies under the banner of the franchise are still available on the streaming platform. Mxdwn also reported that after a slight delay, the new season 27 of South Park is set to premiere on July 23, pending further delays.
