‘Sleepy Hollow’ Has Been Renewed for Third Season

Sleepy Hollow has been renewed for another season with new show runner, Clifton Campbell (The Glades).

After losing previous show runner, Mark Goffman, the show has been renewed for a third season with Clifton Campbell. Sleepy Hollow has been experiencing quite a few creative reinventions. According to The Hollywood Reporter, new network toppers Dana Walden and Gary Newman wanted the series to take on a more episodic nature versus its complex serialized storytelling.

Sleepy Hollow was a hit in its freshman year, but it suffered in ratings in its second run. The show has been renewed for a third season in hopes of acquiring more viewers and better ratings. Also, to trim costs of production, set location will move from North Carolina to Atlanta.

In addition to Sleepy Hollow, Fox has multiple scripted and animated shows such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Empire and Gotham.

It is clear that Fox is investing a lot of time and money into the production of this series. Fox has confidence that the third season of Sleepy Hollow will be a hit.
