Skylan Brooks and Meta Golding cast in reoccurring roles in ‘Empire’ on Fox

According to Deadline, Skylan Brooks and Meta Golding are set to have reoccurring roles in Empire’s season five. Skylan Brooks is 19 year-old actor known for The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete, The Get Down, and Southpaw. He will play Quincy, a young man wrongly incarcerated who develops a relationship with Andre (Trai Byers). He is currently in the midst of filming Emmett, where he will play Luke. You can also check out Brooks along with Amandla Stenberg and Mandy Moore in The Darkest Minds, in theaters now.

Meta Golding is an actress known for Surrogates, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and Day Break. She will play Teri, the mother of Quincy (Brooks),  who is heartfelt beauty who works with Andre (Byers) while they fight to free her son. Golding portrayed Rosa Parks in the TV movie, Behind the Movement. She also recently had a recurring role as Nora on season 2 of USA’s Colony.

Empire is a popular show which stars Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, and Trai Byers- to name a few. The series takes place in New York City (although filmed in Chicago) and follows the story of a hip-hop mogul who must choose a successor among his three sons who are battling for control over his multi-million dollar company, while his ex-wife schemes to reclaim what is hers. You can tune in to the season five premiere on Wednesday, September 26 on Fox.
