‘Skin Wars’ Renewed for a Second Season

GSN has given the series the greenlight for a sophomore season, keeping host Rebecca Romijn and judges RuPaul Charles, Craig Tracy and Robin Slonina, The Hollywood Reporter explains.

Following its freshman season’s strong summer ratings, the cable network has ordered ten more episodes of the body-painting competition show.

The season one finale, which aired on September 24, brought in the highest-rated finale for GSN to date.

“We are thrilled that young audiences tuned in to witness the astonishing work of these contestants,” said Amy Introcaso-Davis, executive vp programming at GSN. “Skin Wars represents GSN’s commitment to celebrate artistry through skill-based competition and we cannot wait for viewers to see what we have in store for them with season two.”

Michael Levitt, Jill Goularte and Rebecca Romijn all serve as executive producers for the series.
