Showtime is introducing a new series titled Masters of Sex.
As TV Line explains, Masters of Sex portrays the story of William Masters and Virginia Johnson leading the field of human sexuality research in the 1960s. Masters will be played by “Twilight”’s Michael Sheen alongside Lizzy Caplan, who co-stars as Johnson.
Indiewire describes the new series as having “racy subject matter, a Mad Men-esque historical gleam and a quirky, talented pair of leads.”
A teaser for the show explores the reasoning behind faked orgasms and other aspects of human sexuality. Masters of Sex is scheduled to premiere Sunday, September 29 at 10/9c.
