Sheyi Cole (Small Axe) has joined HBO Max’s upcoming limited series, Full Circle, from Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh (High Flying Bird), per Deadline. HBO Max has not yet confirmed the details of Cole’s role in the series.
Cole joins previously announced leading cast members, including Emmy Award nominee Zazie Beetz (Atlanta), three-time Emmy Award winner Claire Danes (The Essex Serpent), and Emmy Award nominee Timothy Olyphant (Santa Clarita Diet). Dennis Quaid (Goliath) is also set to co-star alongside Emmy Award-winner Jharrel Jerome (When They See Us).
Allegedly, Beetz will star as a U.S. Postal service inspection agent; Danes will play Sam, a Manhattan attorney fleeing her father’s business, and Olyphant will play Derek, Sam’s husband. Quaid will also star as a celebrity chef whose grandson was targeted in an attempted kidnapping alongside Jerome, who will star as a member of a New York criminal organization. Full Circle is directed by Soderbergh, who will executive produce alongside his frequent collaborators Ed Solomon (Mosaic) and Casey Silver (Godless).
Cole’s recent credits include a guest-starring role in season three of FX’s Atlanta and a supporting role in the holiday film Boxing Day from writer and co-director Aml Ameen (I May Destroy You). Cole starred as Alex Wheatle in an episode of Prime Video’s anthology series, Small Axe, which earned critical acclaim. He will also feature in the upcoming film, The Beautiful Game, by director Thea Sharrock (The Hollow Crown).
HBO Max has yet to confirm a release date for Full Circle.
