Shea Couleé Set to Star in Marvels New Series ‘Ironheart’

Shea Couleé (Dragging the Classics: The Brady Bunch), the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, has been confirmed to have landed an unknown role in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe upcoming series Ironheart according to Deadline. RuPaul’s Drag Race is a reality television show about a group of drag queens who go through challenges to impress the host RuPaul (Zombies 3) for a chance to win a cash prize and the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar. 

The Marvel series Ironheart will portray an inventor with the most advanced armor suit since Iron Man, according to Deadline. Couleé’s current role in the series is unknown. Still, the series will star Dominique Thorne (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), as the Marvel character’s genius inventor Riri Williams alongside others backing the series, including Anthony Ramos (Hamilton), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story), and Chinaka Hodge (Snowpiercer). 

Couleé’s role in the series will bring in a broader audience to the current viewings that Marvel currently receives. Couleé has won All Stars 5 and was a finalist on the special all-winners edition of All Stars 7 of the Emmy-nominated show RuPaul’s Drag Race, according to Deadline. Couleé’s success on the series has helped her be represented in wide range of markets such as those surrounding music, fashion, acting, etc. In addition, Couleé has been seen in famous publications such as Vogue, Entertainment Weekly, and Gay Times Magazine, according to Deadline

Couleé’s launched podcast series Wanna Be On Top?, which has premiered on Apple according to Deadline, explores the world of America’s Next Top Model. The podcast shapes Couleé to represent a range of people willing to question social norms. The podcast, alongside her time spent on RuPaul’s Drag Race, sets Couleé up to have an audience that can be an addition to those who are currently the viewers of Marvel’s work.

Couleé in Marvel’s upcoming series can expect an increase in viewers that tune in to see Marvel’s work and Couleé in action.
