The trio of women includes Lina, a woman from Indiana who is stuck in a passionless marriage who begins taking part in an affair; Sloane, a woman from the Northeast who works as an entrepreneur and participates in a seemingly successful open marriage with her husband; and Maggie, a North Dakota student who alleges her married English professor of having an inappropriate relationship.
