The Studio starring Rogen came away from the 2025 Emmy Awards with the best actor, best writing and best directing for a comedy series and the best overall comedy prize.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the reboot of The Littlest Hobo follows an ownerless German Shepherd who wanders about helping people in need an aired from 1979 to 1985 on the CBC. This revival series will be the first project that comes from the deal struck by Bell Media, parent of Crave, and Lionsgate Canada and Point Grey Pictures. Rose Oushalkas and Christopher Dew (Salty, Police Surgeon) of New Hobo Productions are behind the project.
The Littlest Hobo was a foundational show of our childhood. We are thrilled to have the honor of bringing it back for a new generation alongside our partners at Crave. And though the hobo may be little, we promise big things to come. That doesn’t mean the dog will be huge like Clifford. The hobo will still be little. But the adventures will be Big,” Rogen and Goldberg said in a statement via The Hollywood Reporter.
“We’re thrilled to build on our partnership with Point Grey and Bell Media to bring a fresh new take on this beloved property to Canadian audiences,” Lionsgate Television Group executive vice president and head of scripted development Scott Herbst (Gamer, Crank) and Lionsgate Canada Television president Jocelyn Hamilton (Burden of Truth, Moonshine) said in a statement via The Hollywood Reporter.
