Set Sail For Adventure! ‘One Piece’ Season Two Production Begins With Joyful Reunion

According to Screenrant, Netflix has announced the official start of filming for One Piece season two with a heartwarming video that is sure to tug at viewers’ heartstrings. The live adaptation brings the beloved manga of the same name by Eiichiro Oda (One Piece Film: Red) to life, with season one following the story from the East Blue saga, starting from the Romance Dawn Arc. The season finale ended with the cast reenacting the barrel scene from the anime.

The series also features Jeff Ward (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Buggy, Peter Gadiot (The Yellowjackets) as Shanks, Vincent Regan (Troy) as Garp and many others.Additionally, another post showcased an alleged list of potential actors and actresses who will portray key characters within the series, such as Vivi, Robin and Smoker.

The behind the scenes video shows the Strawhats themselves, Iñaki Godoy (The Imperfects), Emily Rudd (Delicious In Dungeon), Mackenyu (Knights of the Zodiac), Tax Skylar (Boiling Point) and Jacob Gibson (The Resident) reuniting on the Going Merry in South Africa, which will be the film location. This emotional reunion serves as a fantastic announcement for One Piece fans eagerly awaiting the next chapter of the live-action adaptation.

According to a previous mxdwn post, four new characters will be added to the upcoming season: Mr. 9, portrayed by Daniel Lasker (Raised by Wolves); Mr.5, played by Camrus Johnson (Batwoman); Miss Valentine, portrayed by Jazzara Jaslyn (Professional Lioness) and Mr.3, portrayed by David Dastmalchian (Dune).

According to Screenrant, while no official release date has been announced, the first season began production in January and ended in August of the same year. If the second season shares the same schedule, it is sure to end around mid-to-late 2025.. While the audience waits for further information surrounding the upcoming season, the first one is available on Netflix.
