Amazon Prime’s The Legend of Vox Machina announced slew of guest stars for its second season set for a 2023 release date. Among the list, according to Variety, are Barry’s Henry Winkler, John Wick’s Lance Reddick, and Nash Bridges’ Cheech Marin. The three stars join a list of additional new voices joining the ranks for the series from the Critical Role team.
The show from the minds of Critical Role follows a motley crew of characters tasked to save the land of Exandria from an evil force. As reported by Variety and featured in a new first-look video, the band of heroes faces a new threat as a band of dragons threatens the realm. Check out the preview clip below.
According to Variety, season two will also feature the likes of Ralph Ineson (The Green Knight), Troy Baker (The Last Of Us), Alanna Ubach (A Haunted House), Billy Boyd (Outlander), Sendhil Ramamurthy (Never Have I Ever), Cree Summer (Atlanta), Will Friedle (My Date With the President’s Daughter), and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (Carmen Sandiego). They join returning supporting cast members Stephanie Beatriz (Brookyln-Nine-Nine), Gina Torres (Pearson), Kelly Hu (Finding ‘Ohana), Esmé Creed-Miles (Hanna), and Indria Varma (Obi-Wan Kenobi).
The show’s main cast consists of members of the Critical Role team including Laura Bailey (Monster High) as Vex’ahila, Ashley Johnson (The Blacklist) as Pike Trickfoot, Taliesin Jaffe (Street Fighter IV) as Percival “Percy” de Rolo, Marisha Ray (Batgirl: Spoiled) as Keyleth, Sam Riegel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) as Scanlan Shorthalt, Liam O’Brien (Asura’s Wrath) as Vax’ildan, and Travis Willingham (Avengers Assemble) as Grog Strongjaw. Critical Role’s leader and official dungeon master, Matthew Mercer (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure), also lends his voice talent to several characters.
Premiering earlier this year, the series is produced by Amazon, Titmouse, and Critical Role, which celebrated its seven-year anniversary this year, according to Variety. And with 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the series received a season three renewal in October.
Season two of The Legend of Vox Machina is primed for a January 2023 premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime.
