Season Three Of ‘Demon Slayer’ Gets An Official Release Date

According to Screenrant, Demon Slayer, also known by its Japanese title, Kimetsu no Yaiba, has an official release date for the upcoming third season as well as streaming home. The much anticipated third season of the Demon Slayer finally has a confirmed US release date. It has been announced by the anime streaming service Crunchyroll that they have acquired the distribution rights to Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Swordsmith Village Arc, and will premiere on the streaming platform on April 9th. 

According to Screenrant,  the streaming service will be the exclusive home for the series in North and South America, as well as Europe.  The first episode of the new season was recently shown during a theatrical event at the beginning of March. This event showed the first episode alongside the final episodes of season two. The new season’s episodes will  simulcast with their Japanese debuts in subtitled form.

Demon Slayer is an anime series that tells the story of a boy named Tanjiro whose family is killed by a demon only leaving his younger sister Nezuko alive, but although she is alive. Although, Nezuko has turned into a demon herself. To attempt to turn her back to normal, Tanjiro joins the demon slayer corps. Season three of Demon Slayer will follow up on Tanjiro who is making his way to the Swordsmith Village where he will encounter two of the Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji the Love Hashira, and Muichiro Tokito the Mist Hashira. He visits the village to repair his sword that was damaged during the battle against the Upper Moon Six Demon Gyutaro and Daki at the end of the second season.

Season three of Demon Slayer will premiere on April 9th on Crunchyroll. Currently, all current seasons of the series are on the platform.
