Season Five of ‘Fargo’ Trailer Stars Juno Temple’s Midwestern Persona

Season five of FX’s Fargo has dropped the trailer for the upcoming premiere, and Juno Temple (Ted Lasso) is in the center of it all. The Emmy-nominated actress stars as Dot Lyon in the latest series as she has gone full Minnesota with a midwestern accent and attitude. The trailer was released on September 21st on the FX YouTube channel.

Fargo’s newest season is about Dot, the character that Temple is playing, and it follows her as she is “suddenly plunged back into a life she thought she had left behind,” reads the official description. In the trailer, we watch as Temple’s character heats up some food in the kitchen, including what appears to be sauce. She talks on the phone with a kind midwestern disposition with what seems to be a friend or acquaintance. She does this until there is a knock on the door. With that, she quickly hangs up the phone, takes a taste of her culinary concoction, and suddenly arms herself with a pistol and taser, making her way toward the door. As the season continues, Dot is thrown back into her past as it unravels when she lands in some trouble with local authorities.

The newest season of Fargo will star Temple as the central character, along with Jon Hamm (Mad Men, Baby Driver), Joe Keery (Stranger Things), Jennifer Jason Leigh (Fast Times at Ridgemont High), Dave Foley (The Kids in the Hall), Lamorne Morris (New Girl) and Richa Moorjani (Never Have I Ever). The seasons in Fargo are set up as an anthology, so each of the seasons stands alone as their own stories. The season was originally scheduled to premiere in September or 2023 but was delayed due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes. Watch the brand-new trailer for season five of Fargo below!
