The location of season three of Yellowjackets gets an update and teased by Samantha Hanratty(Shameless), who plays a young Misty.Yellowjackets follows the perspective of a girl’s soccer team who, when they become stranded on an icy mountain after their plane crash, everything starts going south. It first made its televised debut on November 14, 2021 on Showtime. According to Screenrant, Yellowjackets co-creator Ashley Lyle (Narcos) has confirmed that a bonus episode will air before season three of the show.
On The Hollywood Reporter‘s official X page, Hanratty gives her insight on the third installment. According to Screenrant, Hanratty reveals in a recent interview with THR, season three is to start filming in the near future. She further state,”we’re not filming yet. We’re going back very soon, which I’m very excited about, and I’m so ready to get the show on the road literally. It’s going to be fun. But I’m going to be dirty. We’re going to be so dirty without our cabin. So, wish us luck”.
Along with Hanratty, the other members returning to season three includes included Melanie Lynskey(Ever After), Chrstini Ricci(Wednesday), Juliette Lewis(Cape Fear), and more.
Season three is sure to pick up from the events of the previous season, in which Ben, played by Steven Krueger (The Originals), realizes the group has lost their humanity and sets their log cabin ablaze. Season three will delve into how Ben will either be on the chopping block or escape the clutches of the group. According to Screenrant, one thing to be expected or the third season is that, with the destruction, the girls will surely look for another shelter to call home.
The season has the potential to introduce new dangers that the characters will have to overcome. Yellowjackets‘ third season is scheduled to premiere in 2025, but fans can rewatch the first and second seasons on Paramount+ while they wait.
