According to TVLine, the actor was just cast in the network’s new drama for next season.
The Secrets & Lies plot revolves around a man who finds the body of a little boy and becomes the prime murder suspect, therefore having to find the real killer to prove his innocence, while at the same time he tries to save his reputation, his marriage and his family.
Ryan Philippe is set to take the leading role.
This new series is adapted from an Australian show with the same title and ABC has already ordered 10 episodes, with production set to begin this spring/summer.
The 39-year-old is best known for his work on the big screen, although he has some TV experience, especially in Damages, a DIRECTV’s AUDIENCE Network show.
