According to Variety, Ryan Murphy (Glee) has denied allegations that American Horror Story will blackball any crew member if they cross the picket line. While WGA picket lines continue to mobilize at remaining TV shows in both New York and Los Angeles, on Wednesday Murphy’s produced show American Horror Story was the focus of many striking writers. While the series is currently shooting on 53rd Street in Manhattan, many WGA East members have tweeted the status of the picketing, even posting video of star Kim Kardashian (Ocean’s Eight) entering the production of the series.
The Blacklist executive producer and WGA strike captain T Cooper said on their Twitter account, “It doesn’t appear that @KimKardashian is a friend of the labor movement. She just now crossed our picket line to work on Ryan Murphy’s @AHSFX Hamptons, shooting here on 52nd in NYC.”
Down below is the full post by T Cooper.
According to Variety, Cooper’s Twitter post came hours after Law & Order: SVU executive producer and WGA strike captain Warren Leight alleged that crew members of American Horror Story were told they would be blackballed in Murphy-land if they respected the picketing and didn’t cross the line. A spokesperson for Murphy, however, called Leight’s allegations “absolute nonsense. Categorically false.”
