Rosemarie DeWitt Joins Eric Bana In Netflix’s Limited Series ‘Untamed’

Rosemarie DeWitt (Poltergeist, Your Sister’s Sister, Black Mirror) known for her standout roles in La La Land and The Staircase, is set to star opposite Eric Bana (Troy, Dirty John, Chopper) in Netflix’s upcoming limited series Untamed. According to Deadline, this highly anticipated show is a collaboration between Warner Bros. Television and John Wells Productions.

As mentioned by Deadline, Untamed promises to be a gripping character-driven mystery-thriller. The series centers on Kyle Turner, portrayed by Bana, a special agent for the National Parks Service. Turner’s job is to uphold human law amidst the untamed wilderness. However, his latest case—a brutal death—leads him into the heart of dark secrets hidden within the park and his own troubled past.

DeWitt steps into the role of Jill Bodwin, Turner’s ex-wife. Jill, a former teacher and park counselor, has since remarried after her divorce from Turner. Despite their split, the two maintain a resilient bond, deeply rooted in shared experiences and past events. The complex dynamic between Jill and Turner is expected to add a rich layer of emotional depth to the narrative.

Joining DeWitt and Bana in the cast is the legendary Sam Neill (Jurassic Park, Thor: Love And Thunder, The Piano), adding further gravitas to an already impressive lineup.

According to Deadline, behind the scenes, they are joined by a powerhouse team including Bana himself, John Wells (ER, The Company Men, The West Wing), and Erin Jontow (Maid, Shameless, Animal Kingdom) from John Wells Productions, Todd Black (Seven Pounds, Antwone Fisher, The Great Debaters) and Tony Shaw (The Born Legacy, Darwin, The Exchange) of Escape Artists Entertainment, Steve Lee Jones (Bigger, Dont You Know Jack, Hitmen) for Bee Holder Productions, and Cliff Roberts (The Midnight Sky, The Marsh King’s Daughter, Motor City) of Syndicate Entertainment. Warner Bros. Television will produce the series.

Also mentioned by Deadline, DeWitt’s recent work includes playing Daphne Campbell, Hughie’s mother, in the fourth season of Prime Video’s hit series The Boys. Her film repertoire is just as impressive, with credits in La La Land and the comedy The Estate. Fans can look forward to seeing her next in Yvonne Woods’ comedy Ramona at Midlife and in Parker Finn’s highly anticipated sequel, Smile Two.

Untamed is set to be a thrilling exploration of nature, human law, and the haunting shadows of the past. With such a stellar cast and creative team, this series is one to watch out for on Netflix.
