According to Comicbook, Rosario Dawson (Daredevil) who stars in Disney+’s Ahsoka series has recently spoken with Entertainment Weekly over the possibility of there being a season two of the series. Ahsoka’s first season is scheduled to premiere on the streamer on August 23rd.
Before the SAG strikes Dawson spoke with Entertainment Weekly and shared, “If more comes next, I’d be really excited and grateful. I feel like every time I get to step into her shoes, I learn more. I experience what I could never experience otherwise, and I feel like I keep getting better.”
Ahsoka follows the story of Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano who is roaming through space investigating an emerging threat to a very vulnerable galaxy. Dave Filoni created the Ahsoka character for the animated series Star Wars: Clone; Wars he will also serve as the head writer of the new series as well as an executive producer with Jon Favreau (Iron Man), Kathleen Kennedy (Jurassic Park), Colin Wilson (Detroit), and Carrie Beck (The Book of Boba Fett). Karen Gilchrist (Cowboys & Aliens) will be serving as a co-executive producer on the series.
Cast for the series includes Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizoo (The Society), Wes Chatham (In the Valley of Elah), Hayden Christensen (Jumper), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), Lars Mikkelsen (Forbrydelsen), David Tennant (Doctor Who), Temuera Morrison (The Flash), Ivanna Sakno (The Reunion) and many others.
According to Comicbook, The Book of Boba Fett has been renewed for a fourth season but the status on the production remains a complete mystery. Filoni will also take part in directing a Star Wars film that could serve as the climax of both Ahsoka and The Mandalorian.
Ahsoka premieres on Disney+ on August 23rd with two episodes.
