Prime Video has brought Ron Peralman (Cape Fear, The Capture) into the fold for the third season of Cross. According to Deadline, Pearlman will take on the role of Herschel Zamora, a recurring character who places his role as police officer above everything else.
Cross is a series that tells the story about Alex Cross, a brilliant forensic psychologist and homicide detective in Washington D.C. who uses his skills to solve crimes and protect his family. According to Deadline, Pearlman’s Zamora will be referred to Dr. Cross after several work-related incidents. Throughout their sessions, Cross becomes aware that Zamora is hiding more that just mere PTSD. The series is based on characters created by author James Patterson (Along Came a Spider, Judge Stone: A Novel), with Ben Watkins (Truth Be Told, New York Undercover) as executive producer and showrunner. Watkins reunites with Pearlman after working together on Hand of God.
Peralman joins Ethan Embry (Scissors, The Gymnast) as another newcomer to the series. The duo joins returning cast members Aldis Hodge (Leverage: Redemption, The Dutchman), Isaiah Mustafa (I Know What You Did Last Summer, Boys Kills World), Alona Tal (Fire Country, SEAL Team), Juanita Jennings (Three Colors: Pan-African, His, Her & Ours), Samantha Walkes (Ominous, The Big Cigar), Caleb Elijah (ReVerso, True Story), Melody Hurd (The Ms. Pat Show, Young Rock), and Johnny Ray Gill (W.A.L.L.D, Grand Crew).
Cross season two was executive produced by Craig Siebels (Good Sam, Blood & Treasure), Patterson (Trapped, The Commuter), Sam Ernst (Carnival Row, Daredevil), Jim Dunn (Hand of God, Haven), Aiyana White (La Brea, Lucifer), J. David Shanks (Parish, 61st Street), Owen Shiflett (Exeter, Blood Machines), Bill Robinson (Trapped, One Night in Idaho: The College Murders), and Patrick Santa (Billion-Dollar Ransom, Help Me Rhonda).
