TNT has a new showrunner for Rizzoli & Isles.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the creator Janet Tamaro, who left the production of the series at the end of season four, will be replaced by Jan Nash.
Tamaro will be a consulting producer for the fifth season of the show. The story shows detective Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) and medical examiner Dr. Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander), who team up to solve crimes in Boston. The remaining episodes of the season will premiere in 2014.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the news of Tamaro’s leaving came a few weeks after the show’s regular, Lee Thompson Young, passed away.
Jan Nash began her career on Ellen and has worked on Unforgettable, Fairly Legal and Caroline.
