Ridley Scott Is Developing A Legal Drama For CBS

Ridley Scott. The man behind such cinematic genius as AlienBlade Runner, and Blade Runner is planning to return to CBS with a new drama for their slate, alongside a few new friends.

Scott has been linked to CBS for a little while now. Although he is best known for his acclaimed science fiction films, Scott has also contributed to the series BrainDead as executive producer. While it was recently announced that BrainDead will not be issued a second season (the series began airing their first season in June), this leaves room for Scott to pair up with David Zucker and Brett Mahoney for their new project entitled Mrs. V. Mr.

Variety revealed all the new details of the development, describing the relationship between the three developers. Mahoney and Zucker both have CBS affiliations, as Zucker executive produced The Good Wife and Mahoney wrote and produced for Stalker and CSI: Miami. Mrs. V. Mr. is actually a CBS project courtesy of Scott Free Prods., which had another series entitled Sensory picked up to pilot last year.

Mrs. V. Mr is a tale that involves the high-ranking LA defense attorney who constantly battles it out with the chief prosecutor for the DA’s office. The twist comes when the two can leave the work in the courtroom and continue their home lives as a happily married couple raising three strong-willed kids.

Mahoney will be writing the pilot and then serving as executive producer with Scott, Zucker, and CBS Television. No news of casting has been reported yet, but the project still appears to be in the early developing stages.
