Fans of Disney’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians may not have to wait much longer to return to Camp Half-Blood. According to Screenrant, ever since the series release back in 2023, it has been doing a good job of adapting the materials form the Rick Riordan’s (Sea of Monsters, Daughter of the Deep) book series, it would seem that Disney is close to determine on an exact date for the approaching third season. There is currently little information on the plot of the third season, but it will surely follow the third novel of the fantasy franchise titled, The Titan’s Curse.
According to Screenrant, the events will closely follow the season two finale, in which Percy, played by Walker Scobell (The Adam Project, Secret Headquarters) and the other campers fought a cinematic battle against Luke, played by Charlie Bushnell (Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord, In The Know), to save Camp Half-Blood. Clarisse, played by Dior Goodjohn (Raven’s Home, Glee), retrieved the Golden Fleece to heal the tree and resurrect Thalia Grace, played by Tamara Smart. In a shocking twist, it was revealed that Zeus, played by Courtney B. Vance (Heist 88, Grotesquerie) had turned Thalia into a tree as a punishment for refusing to be the god’s weapon.
Stated by Screenrant, Percy Jackson’s new season will have new addition to its growing roster which will include Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, who will play Nica and Bianca Angelo, children of Hades. Other new faces will include Dafne Keen (Deadpool & Wolverine, Logan) as Artemis, Kate McKinnon (Ghostbusters, Barbie) as Aphrodite and Hubert Smielecki as Apollo.
According to Screenrant, while fans wait for the third season of the Disney+ series, a panel scheduled for San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, July 23 at 10 a.m. PT will likely provide more information. In the meantime, the complete first and second seasons of Percy Jackson and the Olympians are available to stream on Disney+.
