Release Date and Trailer Revealed for New Four Part Revival ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’

Lorelai, Rory, Stars Hollow. Three names that conjure up a great sense of nostalgia for people of any age. There was something so charming and warm about the world Gilmore Girls created back when it premiered in 2000. The mother daughter relationship created a duo that brought a range of emotions to audiences drawn into the colorful town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. After 9 years, the Gilmore girls are returning on Netflix November 25th, with a four part series entitled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, and the trailer for the new series makes it feel like they never left.

“Life’s short. Talk Fast”, and these girls have definitely got that part down. Accompanied by a mound of Pop-Tarts and a cup of coffee, Lorelai and Rory quickly discuss whether Amy Schumer would like Lorelai, or whether John Oliver would think she was hot, bringing fans back to that fast paced dialogue, sprinkled with bits and pieces of pop culture, that is a staple of Gilmore Girls. The quick flashes of “Luke’s Diner” and the “Dragonfly Inn” brings back that tender feeling of returning home after a long time away.

To add even more excitement, aside from Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, a majority of the cast will be reprising their roles on the series, making Stars Hollow truly feel like home again. Among those returning will be Milo Ventimiglia, Scott Paterson, Kelly Bishop, Keiko Agena, Sean Gunn, Melissa McCarthy, and of course the famous town troubadour Grant-Lee Phillips. Her Husband, Daniel Palladino, will also be returning to the series as a writer and executive producer. The series will be from Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
