Rebecca Rittenhouse To Star In ABC’s ‘Maggie’

Rebecca Rittenhouse (The Mindy Project, Once Upon a Time in Hollywoodis slated to play the title role in ABC’s latest comedy project, Maggie, according to The Hollywood ReporterThe potential series will follow Maggie, to be played by Rittenhouse, woman who possesses psychic abilities and is able to see everyone’s future, yet still lives a messy life, “Her gift means she receives a pummeling assault of energy from everyone around her and thus has put up emotional walls to protect herself. Underneath it, however, she’s a romantic who just wants to live her version of a normal life,” via The Hollywood Reporter

Expanding upon the 2019 short film from Tim Curcio (Behind the Walls) entitled Maggie, the series pilot is being written by Maggie Mull (Life in Pieces) and Justin Adler (Life in Pieces). The duo previously worked together on CBS comedy Life in Pieces. Meanwhile, Rittenhouse is most well known for having played Michelle Phillips in Quentin Tarantino’s (Pulp Fiction) award-winning film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The actress also portrayed a recurring role in the final two seasons of The Mindy Project and starred in Hulu’s Four Weddings and a Funeral. Her other credits also include Fox’s Red Band Society, ABC’s Blood and Oil, and Suits.

In addition to writing, Mull and Adler will also executive produce Maggie alongside Evan Hayes (The Way I See It) and Jeff Morton (Sleeping with the Devil).
