‘Reacher’ Spinoff ‘Neagley’ Drops Action-Packed First Official Trailer

Prime Video has released the first full trailer for Neagley, the upcoming Reacher spinoff starring Maria Sten (Reacher, Swamp Thing). According to Deadline, Sten reprises her role as Frances Neagley, a private investigator in Chicago and former member of the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit.

The new series follows Neagley as she investigates the suspicious death of a longtime friend and finds herself facing a dangerous cult along the way. The trailer also features Alan Ritchson (Reacher, Blue Mountain State) returning as Jack Reacher in a guest role.

In one exchange, Reacher tells Neagley, “You know you could have called me if you needed help.” “You always have my back,” Neagley replies.

Deadline notes that Neagley becomes determined to uncover the truth after learning that someone close to her died in what appears to be a suspicious accident. Using the skills she developed under Reacher and during her time with the 110th Special Investigations Unit, she begins pursuing those responsible.

The ensemble cast also includes Greyston Holt (Bitten, Chesapeake Shores) and as Detective Hudson Riley. Alongside them, Adeline Rudolph (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Resident Evil) as Renee Birdwhistle, Jasper Jones (The Recruit, The Irrational) as Keno, Matthew Del Negro (Teen Wolf, City on a Hill) as Pierce Woodrow and Damon Herriman (Justified, Mindhunter) as Lawrence Cole.

As mxdwn previously reported, Prime Video has already shown significant confidence in the larger Reacher franchise by renewing the original series for season five before season four premiered. The earlier report also highlighted the show’s strong streaming performance, with season three reaching 54.6 million viewers globally during its first 19 days.

Neagley was created by Nick Santora (Reacher, Scorpion) and Nicholas Wootton (Prison Break, Law & Order), who serve as executive producers and co-showrunners. Santora also developed the original Reacher television series.

Neagley will premiere with all episodes on Wednesday, Sept. 16, following the Reacher season four finale. With the main series already secured through season five, the spinoff gives Prime Video another way to build on one of its established action franchises.
