Rambo To Be Crafted Into TV Series

The idolized action hero is coming to the small screen. Entertainment One and Avi Lerner’s Nu Image are co-developing the TV series based on the Rambo franchise, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The project is currently talking to Sylvester Stallone about doing the series, whom returned to the franchise 20 years to do “Rambo” in 2008 after the first three movies in the 80s. If not putting on the red bandana again, Stallone could also be participating on “creative level” with the developers, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Their exclusive option arrangement entails that the partners will “jointly develop the series and shop it to broadcasters in the U.S. and internationally,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“The ability to fuse the big screen and the small screen through Avi’s feature film expertise and eOne’s domestic production capabilities and international distribution infrastructure, makes for a highly complementary partnership,” said eOne Television CEO John Morayniss in a statement Wednesday.
