According to Deadline, Rachel McAdams (The Notebook) made a surprise appearance in a skit on Saturday Night Live. This came after she introduced the musical performance of Renée Rapp (Mean Girls),who recently took on her previous role of Regina George in Mean Girls. McAdams was also joined by the host of the show for the skit, who was Jacob Elordi (Euphoria).
CNN said that “In the sketch, McAdams played an aspiring actress who looks like the real-life “Notebook” actress, but says her name is actually Natalie Partman — not to be confused with Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman. Elordi serves as the not-so-helpful working actor who gives pretty awful advice to an acting class.”
Deadline said that as the skit progressed, McAdams’s character was met by Elordi, who mistook her for being famous. She corrected him, claiming that “I was sued by Rachel McAdams, who accused me of being a deepfake her.” She also announced that she was the opposite of a celebrity, partaking in OnlyFans in order to pay her rent. Additionally, she also highlighted her character name, which was Nathalie Partman, in order to add to the bit. Elordi then poked fun at her, asking if she thought he was a better actor than McAdams, to which she answered with a straight no.
This was big news for people who are fans of McAdams, especially given her close proximity to Rapp on the show, who was a performer that night, reported Deadline.
CNN reported that McAdams was not the only surprise guest of the night, with Megan Thee Stallion also making her own appearance on Saturday Night Live. After McAdams gave her introduction to the performers, Stallion performed with Rapp for the song “Not My Fault.”
According to CNN, this was also the first episode of the new year for the show after they had a holiday hiatus.
