Quibi has released the trailer for the upcoming dystopian thriller Most Dangerous Game., The crime series stars Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) and Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained), and was created by Nick Santora (Scorpion).
Directed by Emmy-nominated executive producer Phil Abraham, the twelve-episode first season will also feature Natasha Bordizzo, Sarah Gadon, Christopher Webster, Zach Cherry and Billy Burke in a disturbing “hunt to kill”, to use Waltz character’s words.
To help his pregnant wife (Carolina Bartczak) as he is slowly dying from a terminal illness, Dodge Maynard (Hemsworth) accepts an offer from a mysterious billionaire (Waltz) to participate in a murderous game— where he is the prey. The series will explore how a normal man can turn into a monster in order to protect his family.
Inspired by Richard Connell’s short story The Most Dangerous Game, the show is categorized by Quibi as a “movie in chapters” with episodes between 7 and 10 minutes. The short duration of its content is the particularity of the platform which also releases “daily essentials” as well as “unscripted and docs”.
Most Dangerous Game will premiere on Quibi April 6, the day the platform launches.
