Quibi Introduces ‘Q Talks’ Comedy Series Hosted by James Veitch

The upcoming mobile streaming service Quibi has continued to announce original programs before its April 6th launch, including the continuation of Reno 911! and, a new comedy series, Q Talks. According to Quibi, This new comedy series will be hosted by British comedian James Veitch, pictured above. Veitch is known for his TED Talks one of which has currently amassed nearly 50 million views on Youtube. The forthcoming comedy talk show will revolve around celebrity guests providing expert talks on unscripted topics shown to them by a teleprompter on the fly.  

With the announcement of Q Talks, the streaming platform has released a handful of names that will be featured in the first couple of episodes. The guests will include actresses Regina Hall (Girls Trip), Lisa Kudrow (Friends), Neicy Nash (Reno 911!), and Kristen Schaal (Bob’s Burgers). Q Talks guest list will also include actor Jimmy O. Yang (Silicon Valley). This fresh comedy series format was created by Troy Conrad and will be managed and produced by showrunner Nicolle Yaron (producer for NBC’s The Voice). Additionally, the series will include numerous executive producers such as Paul Feig, known for directing series such as The Office and Nurse Jackie and films such as 2016’s Ghostbusters and Spy. The announcement holds a strong guestlist for its first few episodes and demonstrates a quality networking base for Quibi’s future. 

Although not much is known concerning the series’ release date, one can assume that Q Talks will be one of the first original programs featured on the streaming service. As the world gets closer to Quibi’s launch date in early April, the streaming service may continue to release the names of future celebrity guests. Currently, subscriptions remain in the pre-order status, however, interested potential subscribers can sign up for e-mail updates and exclusive access.
