“Quantico” to Return to ABC March 6

After going on hiatus in the middle of December, ABC’s freshman drama Quantico is set to return to the network’s schedule on March 6.

On March 3, ABC announced the show had been renewed for its second season, according to TVLine.

The show revealed who actually was behind the bombing (spoiler alert, it was Elias), but anyone who’s watched the show knows that you can’t take anything at surface level.

The episode left off on a cliffhanger, complete with a second bomb explosion where the FBI had set up to track down whoever had set off the bombs. With the bomb going off, viewers don’t know who survived and who died.

Viewers also saw one of the FBI recruits, Caleb Haas, going to the bank right before the attack, asking to look at one of the vaults. He used a fake name, causing many viewers to wonder if he was the bomber.

Throughout the first half of the season, the show dealt with a split-narrative storyline, with part of the storyline taking place as the new recruits are acclimated to the program with the other part of the storyline focusing on nine months later, when a bomb has exploded at New York City’s Grand Central Station and was called the worst terrorist attack since 9/11. The split-narrative carried throughout the first half of the season and is set to continue in the second half of the season.

After each episode aired, showrunner Josh Safran, who worked on Gossip Girl while it was on air, talked to Entertainment Weekly and broke down what happened in the episode. When the winter finale aired, he told Entertainment Weekly about what’s coming up for the second half of the season. He said that most of the second half of the season is going to look into the aftermath of Elias admitting he was one of the perpetrators behind the bombing. He also said that there’s going to be a focus on the aftermath of the party at the Haas mansion, where Shelby and Caleb broke up and the aftermath of Alex meeting Ryan’s wife, Hannah.

As a way to try and catch up before the second half of the season starts, Hulu has all 11 episodes available to stream.

Quantico returns on March 6 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
