Production For Paramount’s ‘Tulsa King’ Will Be Moving To New York For The Fifth Season

According to Variety, the writers’ room for Paramount’s Tulsa King is now open for its fifth season. The fourth season of the series recently wrapped up production and it already seems they’re gearing up for the next season. Although the series has been mostly shot in Atlanta, the series will be changing locations as the production moves to New York for the next season.

Variety reports that the decision for the change of film location is due by both budgetary and storyline considerations.  New York has increased its film tax incentive program twice in the last three years under Gov. Kathy Hochul. The state of New York now totals $800 million annually, as New York seeks to compete with expanded incentives in New Jersey and other states.

In the series, Sylvester Stallone’s (First Blood, Rocky Balboa) character, Dwight, is originally from New York before moving to Tulsa via Variety . Although the events of the fourth season have yet to be seen is not uncommon for Dwight to return home to New York and deal with some of the issues of his past. The fifth season of the series has not officially been picked up.

As per Variety  the cast for the series includes Andrea Savage (A Million Little Things, The Freak Brothers) as Stacy Beale, Martin Starr (Spider-Man: Homecoming, This Is the End) as Bodhi, Jay Will (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, It doesn’t Matter) as Tyson, Max Casella (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Blue Jasmine) as Armand Trusi, Domenick Lombardozzi (We Own This City, Find Me Guilty) as Charles Invernizzi, Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire, Jersey Boys) as Vince Antonacci, Tatiana Zappardino (This Is Us, The King of Bloody Fookin’ Britain) as Tina, A.C. Peterson (Superman & Lois, Pay Your Bill) as Pete Invernizzi and many others.

In the third season of the series, Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, The Hateful Eight) appeared as  Russell Lee Washington, Jr. The character was introduced as a hitman who served time in prison with Dwight.

Tulsa King is available to stream on Paramount+.
