Prime Video’s ‘Cross’ Gains Ethan Embry For Season three

Deadline reports that Cross is on its third season and along with it gains a long time character. Ethan Embry (Scream 7, That Thing You Do) joins Cross which continues Monday, April 13, in Toronto, Canada.

According to Deadline, Embry plays Fredrick who is a strong, fiery, yet generous coach that tries to toughen those he loves up, making them feel seen, making everyone envy and respect him. The characters are from a thriller novel  that was written by James Patterson which had taken place in Washington DC. The book follows Alex Cross as the main lead, who is a forensic and reporting detective and is able to think like a criminal and identify them, being able to capture them.

Deadline writes that season two is all about being in pursuit of a heathen that was on the run, killing corrupt millionaires for fun. Cross was renewed for a third season and will continue to work on its world building as well as characters, and storytelling. The thriller will have very powerful performances and give more high stakes, that might pay off.

According to Deadline, Cross’s third season’s showrunner and producer is Ben Watkins (Burn Notice, Quest to Ref). The show is produced by Amazon Studios and Paramount Television Studios. Season two was produced by Craig Siebels (Burn Notice, The Gifted), James Patterson (Women’s Murder Club, Maximum Ride), Sam Ernst (Daredevil, Carnival Row), Jim Dunn (The Dead Zone, Crisis), Aiyana White (Lucifer, Tiny Pretty Things), J. David Shanks (Seven Seconds, 61st Street), Owen Shiflett (Cursed Films, Exeter), Bill Robinson (Stormy Weather, The Littlest Rebel), Patrick Santa (The 12 Days of Christmas, Jane Smith), and Aldis Hodge (Leverage, Straight Outta Compton).

You can watch seasons one and two of Cross on Prime Video weekly on Wednesdays. Season three is said to air in early 2027.
