Prime Video Releases New Action-Packed Trailer for ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’

Prime Video has released a high-energy new trailer for Citadel: Honey Bunny, an eagerly anticipated Indian Original series premiering on November 7, 2024. According to The Futon Critic and a press release by Amazon, the series will stream exclusively on Prime Video in India and across more than 240 countries. The series is directed by acclaimed filmmakers Raj and DK (The Family Man, Farzi, Guns and Gulaabs) with Varun Dhawan (Bhediya) and Samantha Ruth Prabhu (Kushi) leading the cast. The project is a collaboration between D2R Films, Amazon MGM Studios, and AGBO, the production company helmed by the Russo Brothers (Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Endgame), with additional executive production by Midnight Radio and David Weil (Hunters).

The latest trailer builds on the excitement from its initial release, delving deeper into the gripping narrative of Bunny, a stuntman played by Dhawan, who enlists aspiring actress Honey, portrayed by Prabhu, for a high-stakes espionage mission. Years later, the two must reunite to protect their daughter, Nadia, as their shadowy past resurfaces. The trailer highlights intense action sequences, compelling drama and complex character dynamics, aiming to captivate audiences worldwide.

Citadel: Honey Bunny is the latest addition to Prime Video’s growing Citadel universe, which began with the global hit Citadel in 2023, starring Richard Madden (Bodyguard, Game of Thrones) and Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Quantico). The success of the original series has paved the way for regional adaptations, each bringing unique cultural elements and local talent to the table. Following the Italian original, Citadel: Diana, India’s Citadel: Honey Bunny presents a distinctive, locally infused take on the action-espionage genre.

Excitement is building among fans of Dhawan, Prabhu, and Raj and DK, who are eagerly awaiting this new installment. With its promise of intense action and immersive storytelling, Citadel: Honey Bunny continues to expand the reach of the globally popular Citadel franchise.
