Love is in the air on The Carrie Diaries.
Carrie and Sebastian, last season’s on-again-off-again couple, will each be getting a new love interest in the upcoming season. Via TVLine, Chris Wood has been cast as Carrie’s boyfriend. According to E! Online, Molly Sims will play Sebastian’s new girlfriend.
Wood’s character, Adam Weaver, is a playwright whose relationship with Carrie turns more personal than professional. Executive producer Amy B. Harris describes their romance as having “a huge impact on Carrie and her ‘coming of age’ story…[with] profound repercussions for her and Sebastian.” Meanwhile, Sebastian’s new love interest is a significantly older woman named Vicky who takes an interest in the high schooler.
Newcomer Wood has previously appeared on Girls. Sims’ credits include a starring role on Las Vegas and a guest appearance on Royal Pains.
The two new additions join Lindsey Gort as Samantha Jones, who will also make her series debut in the fall.
The Carrie Diaries’ second season premieres October 25 at 8 PM.
