Peter Facinelli will star in NBC’s drama series Traffic-like thriller.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new series is Odyssey and it centers on a stranded female soldier, a disillusioned attorney and a disrespected political activist that are thrown into a shocking international military conspiracy that takes its toll on three families.
The Nurse Jackie and Twilight star will play Peter, a family man with a new house and job. Previously a prosecuting lawyer, he is now on the business side of things and legally investigates for his Wall Street firm. He has a happy home life with a wife and two kids and his inquisitive nature brings up a trail of blood from Reno to Africa during an assigned investigation.
The series comes from writer/executive producer Peter Horton. Also slated to star in the series are Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies) and Jake Robinson (The Carrie Diaries). Adam Armus and Kay Foster of The Following will write the script and executive produce with Horton. Horton will also direct the pilot and write episodes if the project moves forward.
Facinelli will co-star alongside Edie Falco in the return of Nurse Jackie for its sixth season. He is repped by APA, Intellectual Artists Management and attorney Barry Littman.
