Peacock has released some new information regarding its new series, Dig. The series will reunite Amy Poehler (Dream Productions, Inside Out 2) and Parks and Recreation executive producer Michael Schur (Hacks, A Man on the Inside).
For those who don’t know, Dig is a series that tells a story about four women who are at an archaeological dig in Greece, with each of them facing different life challenges. When the group discover a buried secret that could change history, they become entangled in a dangerous international conspiracy. The series will be an adaptation of Kate Myers’ (A Man Called Otto, The Emigrants) best selling novel, Excavations, the series will be produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
The cast consists of Hugh Laurie (The Night Manager, Tehran), Geraldine Viswanathan (Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, Digman!), Antonia Thomas (Two Weeks in August, Preschool), Kayvan Novak (Krapopolis, StuGo), Mason Vale Cotton (Keith vs, Party Down), Jon Pointing (The Witness, Small Prophets), Fina Strazza (Not Suitable for Work, Nubile), Bonita Friedericy (The Pitt, Tracker), George Basil (4 Kids Walk Into a Bank, Situations), John Mawson (Leviathan, Unsinkable), and Lizzy Joy Doan (Jordan Matter, A Façade of Freedom).
According to Deadline, J.J. Philbin (Only Murders in the Building, Single Parents) will serve as a writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner on the series. Morgan Sackett (Loot, The Tiny Chef Show) will also be an executive producer for the series along with Kate Arend (First Time Female Director, The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning), Dave Becky (The Roast of Kevin Hart, Kevin Hart: Acting My Age), Jordan Grief (Duncanville, Moxie), Dean Holland (Big Mistakes, Not Dead Yet), Sharon Jackson (Life & Beth, Aziz Ansari: Nightclub Comedian), David Miner (The Four Seasons, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins), Poehler, and Schur.
The series will premiere on November 23, 2026. The series will drop all ten of its episodes at once so that you can binge the series.
